Beginning on September 28, 2020, the Cuyahoga County Foreclosure Sale will be online only and will not be conducted in person.

Effective immediately, August 27, 2020, CASH WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED by the Sheriff’s Civil Division.  All payments must be in the form of a certified bank check or money order. 

The below items have been updated.  Please read each one thoroughly to become familiar with the new mandates to the Sheriff Sale rules and guidelines.

Online Sheriff Sale Results

Sheriff Sale Cancel / Postpone form Judgment Creditor's council must request a Sheriff Sale Cancel / Postpone form by emailing smhoward@cuyahogacounty.us and rdano@cuyahogacounty.us (requests must come from the law firm's email address). This will be the only acceptable form to cancel or postpone a sale in Cuyahoga County pertaining to ORC 2329.153. Please review the POLICY posted on the Civil page for submission details.

Sheriff's Deed - Updated September, 2019. The Civil Division will only accept Cuyahoga County's version of the Sheriff's Deed. Plaintiff's council please email smhoward@cuyahogacounty.us and rdano@cuyahogacounty.us to request a fillable Sheriff's Deed.
